What Wise Business actually is

Wise Business is a payment institution, not a bank. It gives you local account details in currencies such as USD, EUR, GBP, AUD and SGD, so customers pay you domestically and you avoid the receiving charges a SWIFT transfer attracts.

Its main advantage is transparency: the exchange rate is the mid-market rate and the fee is shown before you confirm. Its main limitation is that it is a payment account, so there is no credit, no overdraft and no deposit guarantee scheme.
